The First Mouse
Douglas Englebart invented the first functional computer mouse in 1963 with the help of his colleague Bill English. The computer mouse got it's name from earlier models that had a cord attatched to the rear part of the device, giving the impression of a tail to the animal-mouse. This mouse was first introduced with Xerox Alto computer in 1973.
